Personalised 1:1 jewellery tutoring, in person or via Zoom, supporting skill development, problem-solving and confidence at the bench.
Jewellery
I make silver jewellery in small batches and one-off pieces, focusing on wearability, craftsmanship and quiet detail. My work is designed to be worn and lived with, and each piece carries the marks of the making process.
Pieces are available as ready-to-wear work, with a small number of commissions accepted depending on capacity.
Most pieces are priced between £30 – £75.

Jewellery Tutoring
Jewellery making can be frustrating when you’re working things out alone. My 1:1 tutoring offers calm, practical support to help you move forward with confidence, whether you’re building foundational skills or troubleshooting a specific project.
Sessions are personalised to you and your workspace, and can be held in person or via Zoom. We’ll focus on what you actually need - from technique and problem-solving to confidence at the bench.

I’m Kitty, the maker behind Magpie Metalsmith - a silversmith with over 15 years’ experience in jewellery, teaching and mentoring. I work primarily in silver, creating thoughtful, wearable pieces and supporting other makers through calm, practical 1:1 tutoring.
My approach is grounded in real bench experience, patience and a belief that skills are built through doing - not perfection.
Whether you’re commissioning a piece, repairing something well-loved, or learning at the bench, my work is shaped by care, honesty and respect for the piece and the process.
